Michelle Conklin wrote the opening blessing for January 2012. Michelle is completing her Master of Divinity from Seattle University and an aspirant for ordained ministry in the Unitarian Universalist tradition. Her current emphases are writing and spiritual direction.
When not writing, studying or leading worship, Michelle spends her time playing, laughing and caring for her five children and building a home with her beloved partner (also her high school sweetheart). Michelle finds deep connection with Celtic spirituality and often incorporates aspects of this ancient tradition in her ministry.

She is a Roman Catholic Womanpriest ordained in Toronto on Pentecost 2007 ministers through a collage art card ministry, spiritual direction and by offering a retreat she calls Anywoman. In these retreats participants read a play and enter into contemplation and group sharing to reflect on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius from a feminine perspective. For over 15 years, Mary Ellen has published The Spiritual Connection, a subscription-based letter to encourage spiritual reflection. She presides at sacraments with communities in Michigan and Florida. In the past she has served as a chaplain for hospitals and hospice and authored two books. She is a mother of three adult daughters (including twins), grandmother of six. She has lived with her husband, John for over 40 years in Muskegon, Michigan. Victoria Rue, M.Div., Ph.D., writer of the October 2010 sequence is a theatre director, university professor, Roman Catholic woman priest and hospice spiritual care counselor. Victoria lives in Watsonville, California with her beloved partner of 21 years, Kathryn Poethig.
